Mark Kelley, the son of classical pianist, who also plays cello and piano, holds the bass seat with The Legendary Roots crew, which is also seen weeknights on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on the NBC television network. Kelley cites Pino Palladino as his top influence as a bassist, and focuses his approach on making the track move behind the vocalist.
