(December 12, 2012) – The Loop Loft, developer of the world’s most musical loop collections, announces that it has completed an agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) to inject the company’s Indie Rock Drums Vol. 1 into the popular Sound Shapes™ music game for the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PlayStation® Vita (PS Vita) systems. Users can incorporate the loops and sounds from The Loop Loft’s Indie Rock Drums Vol. 1 into their Sound Shapes musical creations via the new Sound Shapes Music Shop, the game’s in-game e-shop on PlayStation® Network, or in PlayStation® Store.

Indie Rock Drums Vol. 1 is a drum loop collection specifically developed to give tracks “that” sound heard on today’s indie rock records. Never overproduced and always authentic, the Indie Rock Drums series – which also includes Volume 2, Volume 3, ReFill packs and is available as part of The Platinum Pack – contains organic, accurate captures of living, breathing drummers playing some of the best drum sets. Users can select from a variety of groove collections, each with its own range of fills, plus individually sampled drums and cymbals. Whether a musician is a seasoned drum programmer, or more “drum-challenged”, using The Loop Loft’s drum loop collections is like having a great drummer playing on their track, instantly.

Equal parts instrument and game, Sound Shapes gives everyone the ability to make music. Players play through a unique campaign that fuses music and artwork into a classic 2D platformer. They can also create their own unique musical levels with all of the campaign content and share it with their world. Sound Shapes creates an ever-changing musical community for everyone to enjoy at home on their PS3 system or on the go with their PS Vita system. Sound Shapes also includes original music by Beck, deadmau5, I Am Robot and Proud and Jim Guthrie.
